In 2022, the Directors of EFMSF developed The Emily Franz Memorial  Continued Education Scholarship program.  The Committee doesn’t guarantee that there will be funds available each year for continued education scholarships, but will accept applications each year (refer below for key dates). The Continued Education Scholarship is available to ONLY graduates of Shullsburg High School and those graduates that are at a minimum of, two (2) years past their high school graduation (Class of 2025 or earlier are eligible to apply in 2027). The Continued Education Scholarship is available to all graduates of SHS who are presently enrolled in post high school education,  have decided to enroll in post high school education for the first time, or have decided to return to post high school education for additional education/training. College graduates choosing to pursue a post-secondary degree are eligible applicants and are encouraged to apply. Any recipient of the Continued Education Scholarship is entitled to reapply each year the Continued Education Scholarship is available.  Scholarship funds can be used for unpaid tuition, class & school fees, books, tools and any other expenses billed directly through the school and documented on school billing statements or any  equivalent billing documentation (this documentation will need to be provided when payment is requested).

If the EFMSF directors determine that funds are available for the continued education scholarships, recipients will be notified of receipt by June 1, 2027. Scholarship awards will be issued in one lump sum payment and can be paid out for expenses incurred from June 1, 2027 through February 1, 2028 but must be requested no later than February 1, 2028 and must be unpaid expenses, reimbursement of expenses paid is not allowed. All proceeds will be paid out in the form of a joint check between the scholarship recipient and the Bursars Officer or equivalent entity.  Failure to request your award in the timeframe specified will result in forfeiture.

Any recipient is invited to the annual fundraiser held in August each year with tickets available from any EF Director.
